1 arrested after being hit on I-694
A MnDOT traffic camera shows emergency crews at the scene of a stalled vehicle on I-694.
One person is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after being hit on I-694 Monday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, multiple agencies were called to a stalled vehicle that was blocking a lane of traffic on the highway near Victoria Street around 8 p.m.
Officers tried to get the driver out of the vehicle, however, authorities say the driver didn’t cooperate, and tried to run across multiple lanes of traffic on I-694.
The driver was then hit by a vehicle, and was taken to Regions Hospital.
The State Patrol says the driver showed suspected signs of impairment, and was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.
No other details were immediately available.
