St. Paul Police ID victim of fatal North End shooting

Police in St. Paul have identified the man who died after a shooting in the city’s North End neighborhood.

According to SPPD, 45-year-old Tyreese W. Harris, of Burnsville, died Monday morning after being shot late Sunday night.

St. Paul Police said a 911 caller reported shots fired just after 11 p.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of Jackson Street. Officers responded and found Harris sitting on the ground and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid before Harris was taken to a hospital where he died early Monday morning.

No arrests have been announced in connection to the homicide, the city’s 12th of the year.
