St. Cloud school district extends winter break
St. Cloud Area School District announced Monday that it, like a handful of other districts in the state, is modifying its winter break schedule.
The district is stretching winter break to now be a full two weeks, making three previous days of school — Dec. 20-22 — no longer instruction days.
The change was made due to staffing shortages, student absences and other pandemic impacts, the district says.
The winter break modification is also changing two other days of learning in the second semester. Jan. 18 and March 4 will now both be in-person instruction days for students. Previously, Jan. 18 was meant to be a staff professional development day and March 4 was a digital learning day.
KIDSTOP will be available for enrolled families from Dec. 20-22 but parents will need to register.
