U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar paid a visit to the Minnesota Air National Guard’s 133rd Airlift Wing on Sunday to underscore the importance of Minnesota’s fleet of C-130 aircraft.
The Minnesota National Guard uses the cargo planes to transport troops and supplies worldwide. They’ve also helped in the past with disaster response in Minnesota.
“We all know what they’ve helped with floods in Minnesota, across the country, but they’ve helped all over the world,” Klobuchar said.
Klobuchar had previously pushed to help maintain Minnesota’s current fleet of C-130s. Eight of them recently received upgrades to their propellers.
