Second person arrested for St. Cloud shooting
Police say a second person has been arrested for a shooting near Lake George in St. Cloud late Tuesday afternoon.
According to St. Cloud police, officers were called to the 400 block of East Lake Boulevard just after 6 p.m. for a report of shots being fired.
When officers arrived, they were told by people they had detained that a person in a vehicle was shot at. However, police weren’t able to find the person or the vehicle.
The next day, police say they found the person who was shot at, adding he wasn’t injured. A 17-year-old St. Cloud boy was taken to Stearns County Jail before being taken to a juvenile detention center for charges of second-degree assault, carrying a gun without a permit, reckless discharge of a firearm and ineligible possession of a firearm.
Thursday, police said they arrested a second person, identified as an 18-year-old from St. Cloud.
The 18-year-old was taken to Stearns County Jail for charges of second-degree assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and carrying a gun without a permit.
Police say they’re still investigating the incident, and formal charges are pending.
