Renville County semi driver crashes into cow on highway
A Renville County truck driver was injured after crashing into a cow on a highway at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
The State Patrol tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS it doesn’t know how several cows got on the roadway where the crash happened, which was on Highway 19 in Camp Township.
The driver of the Volvo semi, a 47-year-old man from Sacred Heart, was taken to Redwood Falls Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The cow hit by the semi died at the scene and was removed from the roadway. It is unknown where the other cows were taken.
The report also does not describe what happened leading up to the crash.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office assisted State Patrol with the incident.
