Police seek public help identifying man who tried to grab a woman

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who tried to grab a woman but fled Friday morning. 

According to the sheriff's office, at 10:01 a.m., a woman was walking near 16000 block of Birchwood Lane, north of Brainerd, when an unknown man approached her from behind and grabbed her by the arm. 

The woman was able to get away after striking the male who then fled from the location on foot. 

Authorities searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect. 

According to police, the only information regarding the suspect is that he is a caucasian man, in his 30s, weighs about 200 pounds with brunette hair with stubbly facial hair and wearing a dark blue jacket. 

Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office is asking the public that if anyone in the McKay road area to please check their surveillance camera on Friday between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to see if there is any footage of the incident.
