Police: Man injured during Brooklyn Park shooting, investigation underway

A man is recovering after getting shot Monday morning in Brooklyn Park.

According to Brooklyn Park Police, the shooting happened at around 9:50 a.m. in the 7900 block of Zane Avenue. There, police found a 22-year-old man in an apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders provided aid until the man was taken to a hospital, where he’s expected to make a full recovery, police say.

Officers learned the man was outside in a common area when an unknown person confronted him before shooting him and running away.

The investigation is ongoing.
