Police investigating shooting in north Minneapolis

Police in Minneapolis are investigating a shooting on the city’s north side.

According to a police spokesperson, at 4:24 p.m. squads were in the area of 3500 block of Emerson Avenue North and heard sounds of shots fired.

Officers located a man with a gunshot wound considered to be not life-threatening. The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

the incident remains under investigation.
