Plymouth Public Safety Department investigating apartment building fire
The Plymouth Public Safety Department is investigating the cause of a fire that extended to all floors of an apartment building Saturday night, according to Police Chief Erik Fadden.
Responders went to the 15300 block of 18th Avenue for a report of an apartment fire around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a “large portion” of the building’s exterior, extending up all three floors and into the attic, was on fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
No one was hurt, but police say many residents have been displaced. Property management and Red Cross workers are helping residents.
Police officers and firefighters began cleanup around 10:40 a.m. Sunday. Police did not describe the extent of the damage.
Investigators are at the scene to determine the cause of the fire, police tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.
