Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Maple Grove

A vehicle struck a pedestrian Wednesday night in Maple Grove.
According to the Maple Grove Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person on the road at 8:11 p.m. Wednesday at Dunkirk Lane North and 89th Avenue North.
The officers learned that a 17-year-old driver had struck a 39-year-old pedestrian.
The driver stayed on the scene, and the victim was transported to the local hospital for treatment.
According to police, the driver has been cooperative, and the incident is still under investigation.
