The National Weather Service said it has confirmed that at least four tornado touchdowns occurred in southern Minnesota on Monday.
The tornadoes were spotted near St. James, Janesville, south of Waseca and Twin Lakes/Emmons.
Buildings and some homes in those areas were damaged, but no reports of injuries were made.
NWS said a more detailed report on the tornadoes is being created and is expected to be released in the coming days.
