Multiple ramps to close in downtown St. Paul Wednesday night

Starting Wednesday, August 17 at 10 p.m., drivers in the downtown St. Paul area will experience even more ramp closures as construction continues on I-94 and I-35E.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the following ramps will close Wednesday night:
- Northbound Hwy 52 to westbound I-94 and northbound I-35E
- Detour to WB I-94: Southbound Hwy 52, eastbound I-494, northbound Hwy 61 to I-94
- Detour to NB I-35E: Southbound Hwy 52, eastbound I-494, northbound Hwy 61, westbound I-94, northbound Hwy 280, eastbound Hwy 36 to I-35E
- Westbound I-94 to northbound I-35E
- Detour: Westbound I-94, northbound Hwy 280, eastbound Hwy 36 to I-35E
- Mounds Blvd. to westbound I-94
- Detour: Mounds Blvd., westbound 7th St., northbound Jackson St, westbound 12th St. to I-94
MnDOT says the ramps should reopen by this weekend. MnDOT is also warning that there could be additional lane restrictions on I-94 between I-35E and Mounds Blvd. during that time. Drivers are urged to go slow through the work zone and to follow the posted detours.
