MPD officer injured after bricks, rocks thrown at squad car
The Minneapolis Police Department says one of their officers is being treated at a local hospital for an eye injury after a juvenile threw bricks and rocks at a squad car windshield.
A department spokesperson says that a 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of assault.
Officers were responding to a medical emergency on Pillsbury Avenue South just after 3 p.m. Tuesday when the incident occurred.
