The Minnetonka Fire Department has started a GoFundMe for one of their firefighters who was injured in an accident during a fire training event on December 3.
A city spokesperson says that Tim Tripp was part of a group of firefighters training with water hoses when he slipped on ice and hit his head.
According to a family statement on his GoFundMe page, Tim is in the intensive care unit at Hennepin County Medical Center battling a “severe head injury”.
The effort had already raised $25,000 as of Friday afternoon.
