Sen. López Franzen not running for reelection

Minnesota Senator Melisa López Franzen has announced she will not be running for reelection this fall.

The senator announced her decision Wednesday.

López Franzen currently serves as the Senate DFL Leader, and her current district represents communities such as Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and Edina.

She will hold her position until her current term ends.
