A name change is coming to Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.

Wednesday night, the school board voted unanimously to begin the process of finding a new name.

The board’s name advisory committee recommended the change because its namesake, Patrick Henry—often considered a founding father of the United States—was a slave owner.

Last year, another high school in Mendota Heights changed its name, citing the controversy surrounding its namesake.

The district’s school board voted to change Henry Sibley High School to Two Rivers High School.
