Minneapolis police investigating string of robberies, carjackings near Uptown area
Minneapolis police are investigating a series of robberies and carjackings that all occurred within a few blocks of each other Monday evening.
Police say each one is being investigated independently but they haven’t ruled out that the incidents could be related.
The first five incidents occurred in Minneapolis’ Uptown area, while the sixth happened about a mile north.
Of the five incidents in the Uptown area, the first happened at around 3:30 p.m. whereas the others occurred between 6:20 p.m. and 6:54 p.m.
Police did not specify which incidents were robberies and which were carjackings.
According to police, no serious injuries were reported and nobody had been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon.
