Mayo Clinic adds new weapons detection system at Rochester campus entrances
Mayo Clinic now has a new security screening system at the entrances to its Rochester campuses.
“Our patients, visitors and staff expect a welcoming and safe environment upon entering a Mayo Clinic building, and we are committed to providing effective security measures,” a Mayo Clinic spokesperson told Hubbard Broadcasting affiliate KAAL-TV.
Mayo Clinic has also implemented new security measures at other sites in its system in an effort to keep weapons out of the buildings but says most people will pass through will out any additional delay.
