When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle with Page-El and a woman inside backed up into the building and a deputy attempted to block the vehicle in with his squad car.
The driver was able to flee, but hit the squad car in the process.
The suspect vehicle fled northbound on Donnelly Avenue, a gravel road, at a high rate of speed.
The deputy followed the vehicle to identify it. As the deputy crested a hill north of the property, he found the suspect vehicle had left the road and rolled into a field. Both Page-El and the woman in the vehicle were ejected.
Page-El, who was driving, was found dead at the scene and the woman passenger sustained severe injuries.
The suspect vehicle had been reported stolen out of Minneapolis, police said.
The Minnesota State Patrol is still currently investigating the incident.
