Man who died after Burnsville motorcycle crash identified

The Hennepin County Medical examiner has identified a man who died in the hospital two days after a motorcycle crash in Burnsville.

The examiner’s report says 21-year-old Kyle Petersen died at Hennepin Healthcare on the afternoon of Aug. 18 from “multiple blunt force injuries” suffered in an Aug. 16 motorcycle crash.

As previously reported, Petersen was said to be wearing a helmet that fell off during the incident.

No further information is expected to be released.
