Man pleads guilty to aiding an offender in Brooklyn Park shooting case that killed toddler

One of three people charged in connection with the death of a 2-year-old boy in Brooklyn Park in 2020 has entered a guilty plea.

Keyshawn Lemont Cosey-Gray, 22, pleaded guilty Monday to an aiding an offender charge, according to court documents.

Sentencing is set for April 11.

A trial for Sherrillyn Kay Mosley, who is also charged in the case, is expected to begin on Feb. 28.

O’Sheonia Nypre Hodges, the third individual charged in connection with the incident, is wanted on a warrant dating back to August 2020.

On Aug. 13, 2020, Brooklyn Park police officers were called to an apartment in the city on a report of a 2-year-old who had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers found the 2-year-old boy, who had been shot in the abdomen. Police attempted lifesaving measures before paramedics transported the child to the hospital. Two days later, the child died.
