Man killed in Bryant neighborhood shooting Tuesday identified

A man killed in a Minneapolis shooting early Tuesday morning has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Omar Rosas Pineda, 34, of Minneapolis, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the medical examiner.

Minneapolis police say officers were dispatched to the area of Fourth Avenue South and 42nd Street East just after 6 a.m. Tuesday for a report that a man was dead on the sidewalk.

Arriving officers then found that the man had been shot.

The death is the 67th homicide of the year in Minneapolis, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
