Man found dead on yard in St. Cloud, investigation underway

Police in St. Cloud have launched a death investigation after a man was found lying in someone’s yard on Wednesday.

According to St. Cloud police, officers responded to the 800 block of Eighth Avenue North at around 5:10 a.m. after a man was found unresponsive on the grass of someone’s yard.

Medical personnel were also called and determined the man was dead. He’s been identified as 53-year-old Troy Michael Kapol.

Police say the yard Kapol was found in wasn’t his. However, there weren’t any obvious signs of trauma.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine his cause of death.
