Irondale High School went into lockdown Thursday after receiving threat
Irondale High School went into a lockdown Thursday after receiving a threat from an outside caller, according to Mounds View Public Schools.
The school district said in an email to parents that the New Brighton Department of Safety was called in to investigate and determined that the threat was not credible. The threat did not affect any other schools in the district.
Students were held in their fifth-hour classes for 40 minutes before they were released to their sixth-hour classes, according to the district.
“We understand how unnerving this was for some students, staff and families,” the district said. “We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and patience as we took precautionary measures in close partnership with local law enforcement.”
