Gophers vs. Alcorn State canceled after travel complications

The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team will no longer be playing Alcorn State on Thursday, as scheduled.

Wednesday, the program announced that the game was canceled due to travel-related complications for Alcorn State. No other specifics were provided.

The non-conference matchup won’t be rescheduled, Gophers Athletics says.

Anyone with tickets to the game can exchange them for any remaining regular-season men’s basketball game by emailing gophersports@umn.edu or calling 1-800-U-GOPHER.

Minnesota will be back in action on Jan. 3 when the Gophers travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers.
