Goats return to Civic Center Park in Burnsville
The city of Burnsville has welcomed back goats to battle buckthorn and unwanted plants.
The goats arrived Wednesday and are at Civic Center Park, city officials said Friday.
It’s part of a project that more cities are using, battling invasive plants in a natural way that reduces the need for herbicides.

Burnsville officials say the goats are expected to stay for one to two weeks, and the grazing process is repeated one or two times per year.
While residents are welcome to watch the goats, the city asks people to avoid feeding or petting them.
