Grass fire in Corcoran caused by tractor with mechanical malfunction
Crews in Corcoran battled a grass fire Thursday afternoon.
The West Suburban Fire District says the fire was reported at 11:48 a.m. and covered about 15-20 acres of wetland. Fire officials say it was started by a tractor that had a mechanical malfunction next to the wetland area.
Ten different fire departments from around the area responded to the fire.
There were several buildings in the area of the fire.
