Child in critical condition following Sauk Rapids crash involving semi
UPDATE: The hospital said Wednesday the child remains in critical condition.
A child suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash in Sauk Rapids Monday morning.
According to the crash report, a semi was traveling north on Highway 15 at County Road 29 when it ran a stoplight. The semi struck a Mazda CX9 that was traveling on County Road 29.
Molly Kersting Mccann and 5-year-old Ethan R. Mccann of Sartell were transported to Saint Cloud Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Seven-year-old Colin P. Mccann was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the semi was uninjured in the crash.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
