Cass County off-road vehicle crash kills Florida woman

Authorities say a woman is dead following a crash in rural Outing.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the Emily-Outing “B” Trail in Beulah Township at 3:11 p.m. Monday for an off-road vehicle crash.

When deputies arrived, they found a 56-year-old Fort Myers, Florida woman trapped inside the machine after a group of riders who were traveling on the trail came across the partially rolled 2015 Polaris Ranger.

Despite life-saving efforts, the woman died at the scene.

Authorities say the woman was traveling alone.

An autopsy is scheduled.
