Carjacking reported near U of M campus
Authorities say a victim was carjacked overnight near the University of Minnesota.
According to a U of M Public Safety alert, it happened at around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday near 14th Avenue Southeast and Seventh Street Southeast.
The university alert says a man in his 20s who was wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt stole the victim’s gray Nissan Sentra that had an Iowa license plate.
Three other suspects — two males and a female — were with the man in a gray Chevrolet Malibu that had the Minnesota license plate number CKG610, the university said.
The incident is under investigation.
