Brooklyn Park police investigating 2 overnight shots fired incidents; no injuries reported
Police say no one was injured and multiple shell casings were found after they were called to two separate shots fired incidents overnight in Brooklyn Park.
According to Brooklyn Park police, the first incident happened late Monday night, shortly before midnight, on the 5800 block of 73rd Avenue North.
A caller reported multiple shots fired inside the hallway of her apartment building, and responding officers found spent shell casings and damage to the walls.
Officials say they believe two people were involved and left the building after firing.
The second incident happened just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday near Regent and 84th Avenue North.
Police say in this instance, a caller saw a person fire three shots at the corner of 84th and Yates avenues north, and the suspect was said to have left the area in a vehicle.
A vehicle description wasn’t immediately provided.
Responding officers found three spent shell casings in the area, but weren’t able to track down any suspects.
Both incidents are being investigated.
