Brooklyn Park investigating shots being fired at an apartment, 1 hurt

The Brooklyn Park Police Department is investigating after shots were fired at an apartment building late Thursday night.

The department said they received a call of the shots at 10:51 p.m. on the 8100 block of Zane Avenue North.

There, officers found multiple shell casings and bullet holes in an apartment.

While they didn’t find anyone inside the apartment that had been injured, police said one person was found to have an injury to their finger either caused by a bullet or from flying glass.

Officers said the person refused medical attention for their injury.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
