Brooklyn Center man pleads guilty to illegal gun possession

A Brooklyn Center man has pleaded guilty to illegally having a gun.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Ezell Michael Tribett was inside a vehicle that hit a parked car on Jan. 17, 2021. Afterward, prosecutors say he admitted to having given a Glock semi-automatic pistol to the driver of the vehicle, who then tried to hide the gun in snow. However, Minneapolis police recovered it.

Tribett isn’t allowed to have guns or ammunition due to prior felony convictions.

His sentencing hasn’t yet been scheduled.
