Bipartisan education investment discussed Tuesday

At an event Tuesday, Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan discussed an investment in education agreed upon by state lawmakers.
Walz and Flanagan visited a metro school to highlight the bipartisan agreement, which was announced Monday.

Monday, Walz’s office announced $1 billion would be invested in education as part of the state’s budget.
No other details about the investments were immediately released. The governor’s office reported more information about the investments would be made available at a later date.
