94-year-old woman killed in Walgreens parking lot identified
The 94-year-old woman killed in the parking lot of a Bloomington Walgreens on Sunday has been identified as Anne Igoe, of Bloomington, by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The report rules her death as an accident caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
On Sunday, Bloomington police responded to the Walgreens at 9800 Lyndale Avenue South following a 911 call from a man who said he thought he hit a person with his car.
Police said, when they arrived, people were giving the woman first aid and they took over the life-saving measures; however, Igoe was declared dead at the scene by the paramedics.
Officers said that the driver was backing out of a parking spot when he hit Igoe, stopped the car and immediately called 911.
The driver is cooperating, police say.
Bloomington police initially said the woman was 95 years old, however, the medical examiner lists her age as 94.
