4 displaced by Minneapolis house fire

A Wednesday night house fire in the Cleveland neighborhood of Minneapolis left four people displaced.

The Minneapolis Fire Department says crews were called about a person experiencing shortness of breath just before 6:30 p.m. However, when crews arrived, the caller wasn’t there and they saw flames coming from the front window of a home near North 33rd Avenue and Washburn Avenue.

Crews searched the home and extinguished the flames. However, the home was deemed uninhabitable.

The American Red Cross was called to help the two adults and two children who were displaced.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the department said it’s unclear if the initial call is related to the fire.
