'We are here for you': Wis. police offer to test meth for coronavirus

A central Wisconsin police department was trying to help keep people safe with its recent Facebook post.

Wednesday, Merrill Police posted, "WARNING: If you have recently purchased Meth, it may be contaminated with the Corona Virus. Please take it to the Merrill Police Department and we will test it for free."

The department added that officers will even come to your home if you don't want to come to them.

"Please spread the word! We are here for you!" the post said.

The post was shared by thousands of people, although it's probably fair to assume not many people took them up on their offer.

The department also commented on its own post, writing, "If we can help only one person, it's worth it!"
