2 hurt after shooting in St. Cloud

Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured Sunday evening in St. Cloud.

According to St. Cloud police, officers went to the area of Haws Park just after 5 p.m. on a report of a gunshot. There, officers were told that a single shot had been fired during an altercation involving several people near a basketball court.

However, the suspect had left the scene and police didn’t find any victims.

A short time later, officers learned that two men arrived at the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, from a gunshot. One man’s arm was grazed while the other man was shot in the butt.

Police say they don’t believe the shooting was random but it remains under investigation.
