2 arrested after 30-mile pursuit in Morrison County

Authorities say two people were arrested Tuesday after a pursuit that covered around 30 miles in Morrison County.

According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, St. Cloud police were involved in a pursuit with a white Chrysler Concord on Highway 10 heading into Royalton at around 3:30 p.m. Deputies then joined that pursuit as it continued toward Cushing.

Stop sticks were deployed but were unsuccessful, the sheriff’s office says. Eventually, the vehicle tried to turn into oncoming traffic and a PIT maneuver disabled the vehicle near County Road 16.

Two people — a 36-year-old Minneapolis man and a 37-year-old Ponemah man — were then arrested.
