18-year-old arrested in Sauk Rapids attempted burglary

An 18-year-old St. Cloud man was arrested Friday in connection to an attempted burglary in Sauk Rapids last week.

Sauk Rapids Police said Drevion Xavier Hemingway is charged with first-degree attempted burglary, first-degree damage to property and tampering with a vehicle.

Officers were called to a home in the 1200 block of 10th Avenue North at about 6:10 a.m. on Feb. 2, police said. The homeowner told police there were loud noises at about 1 a.m. and home surveillance cameras showed a man forcefully kicking the front door. Police said the homeowner’s vehicle was also entered and property was pulled out and tossed around.
