1 injured in Brooklyn Park shooting

Police say a man is recovering after being shot Thursday night in Brooklyn Park.

According to Brooklyn Park police, officers were called to the 5500 block of Brookdale Drive for multiple reports of shots being fired around 9:10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found several spent shell casings in the street, as well as a fence that had been damaged by the gunfire.

Soon after police arrived at the scene, they were told a man had walked into an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and had said he was shot in Brooklyn Park.

An alert sent by police stated he provided “limited information” to officers.

As of this publishing, no one has been arrested, and the investigation continues.

The man’s name and age weren’t immediately provided.
