1 dead after crash during storm Tuesday night

A man is dead after a crash in Isanti County Tuesday night.
Isanti County deputies say they responded to a rollover crash near 249th Ave. NW and Verdin Ave. at about 10:40 p.m.
A 21-year-old man was inside a vehicle that was found on the south side of 249th Avenue.
The sheriff’s office said despite efforts from first responders to save his life, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the vehicle was eastbound on 249th Avenue when it left the roadway.
The crash happened during a thunderstorm, and preliminary investigation shows that both weather and speed could be a factor in the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
The man’s identity is expected to be released by the medical examiner’s office.
