1 arrested following overnight police chase from Brooklyn Park to Minneapolis
Police say one person has been arrested for outstanding warrants following an overnight police chase.
According to Brooklyn Park police, an officer saw a person driving “erratically” shortly before 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Brooklyn Boulevard.
The officer then began a traffic stop, however the driver continued and entered the city of Minneapolis.
Eventually, police learned the vehicle had been stolen from Minneapolis, and ended the chase after the vehicle entered the wrong way on a one-way street.
Officers with the Minneapolis Police Department monitored the driver on cameras, and saw the occupants abandon the vehicle and then run from the scene in the area of North 23rd Avenue and North Sixth Street.
A search was conducted, and one adult was found and arrested. Police say the person found is believed to have been the driver.
No other details were immediately provided about the suspect or the chase.
The incident is still being investigated.
