Free dental care to be provided in St. Cloud Friday, Saturday

Two mental groups are bringing a free dental event to St. Cloud for the next two days.

The Minnesota Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Foundation are partnering to provide free care to anyone who is uninsured, or under-insured.

A thousand volunteers will be on hand both Friday and Saturday at the River’s Edge Convention Center.

Doors will open at 5:30, and event organizers say patients will be accepted until capacity is reached each day. Anyone who is looking for treatment should expect to spend the entire day at the event.

The Minnesota Department of Health estimated more than a quarter of Minnesotans do not have dental insurance.
