Cub is the latest business to announce a mask requirement in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release issued Tuesday, Cub states all visitors will be required to wear a mask or face covering while shopping at its stores.
Children under the age of 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing or is unable to remove the mask without assistance, are not required to wear masks.
The requirement will go into effect July 28.
"Wearing face coverings while shopping at Cub stores is simply the right thing to do and helps us take care of each other by creating an additional layer of defense against the spread of COVID-19," Cub CEO Mike Stigers said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Cub has recently opened pop-up, 13,000-square-foot community stores that are selling fresh produce, meat, dairy and over-the-counter medicines while brick and mortar stores are being rebuilt.
