A popular spot in northeast Minnesota will likely be closed all summer.
Spirit Mountain in Duluth shut down in March and laid off almost its entire staff.
The Duluth City Council is being asked to approve Spirit Mountain’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year at its meeting next week.
Employees are expected to be laid off until September when preparations for the ski season begin.
The recreation area wouldn’t open to the public until November at the earliest.
