Dump truck hits, kills pedestrian in Plymouth

The victim was identified Thursday as Michael Gerard Gau, 54. He was a firefighter for the city of Belle Plaine.

Police say a pedestrian died after being hit by a dump truck Wednesday evening in Plymouth.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS camera captured emergency responders at the scene near the intersection of Rockford Road and Nathan Lane.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Plymouth Police Department. Their name will be released following an autopsy report.
No other information was immediately available.
