Police: Man arrested in connection to St. Paul homicide

Police say they arrested a person in connection to a homicide last week.
Authorities say 22-year-old Alex Becker was shot and killed in the 500 block of Lawson Avenue West in St. Paul late on the night of Dec. 27.
Wednesday, St. Paul Police said 20-year-old Arteze Owen Kinerd has been arrested and booked on suspicion of murder. However, as of Wednesday afternoon, Kinerd hadn’t been formally charged.
Becker’s death was the city’s 40th homicide of 2022.
A GoFundMe has been started to help support Becker’s family.
