Downtown Minneapolis apartment shooting victim identified
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the man who died following a shooting this past weekend at a Minneapolis apartment complex.
The 31-year-old man, Ahmed Elsaied, died in the emergency room from a gunshot to the head, the report says.
Elsaied died within hours of being shot, despite life-saving measures.
Minneapolis police said they arrested a man in connection to the shooting, which happened around 7:45 p.m. Sunday at the Artistry on 10th apartment building, located on 95 S. 10th St. in Minneapolis.
No new information on the suspect has been provided.
